The Piemontese are passionate about food and wine. A typical meal consists of at least 6 courses, taken at leisure over several hours in the enjoyable company of family and good friends. The region abounds with good produce: there are white truffles from Alba, Fassone beef from the Piemontese cattle, Porcini mushrooms, hazel nuts (Nutella was invented in Alba), and excellent wines. Bricco della Croce
The young couple Federica and Mattia have left the hustle and bustle of the big city and started a small local cheese production, with fantastic pecorino and robbiola. Try the homemade sheep's yoghurt and ricotta as well.
The restored stone farm is located in beautiful surroundings at a viewpoint with a large cross, which also gave the farm its name.
