Rambling

The Scala Santa, a route connecting the churches of Santa Libera and San Bovo, runs just below the house. The path was used by partisans during the 2nd World War, when they hid in the mountains. There are many beautiful routes through the vineyards in the Langhe hills.

Skiing

It is about 125 km to the major ski sports areas in the Alps between Italy and France. Here you will find Via Lattea (Milky Way) with 212 pistes. As well as Limone, a pleasant Middle Ages town with phenomenal skiing, or Bardonecchia, which is a popular weekend destination for people from Turin. Close to the house is also Mondolé Ski area, 1½ hour drive.

The Mediterranean coast is around 60 km away. There are great beaches at Finale Ligure and small, cosy towns such as Noli.
